    More Information:

[T. S. Eliot, association]. James Thomson. The City of Dreadful Night. Portland: Thomas B. Mosher, 1903. First Mosher edition. With a gift inscription from Eliot to his sister on his calling card, mounted onto the front free endpaper: "I don't know whether you/will like these poems, but/I admire some of them very/much. A small addition to/the library." Above this mounted card, is his sister's later inscription: "To Charlotte Eliot Smith/from her brother/T.S.E." Small oblong octavo. [136] pages. Publisher's printed stiff wrappers, yapp edges. Minor smudging to T. S. Eliot's inscription. Binding toned (especially at spine), some rubbing and thumbsoiling to wrappers, some offsetting to pastedowns. A few leaves unopened at top. Overall, a near fine copy with an excellent association.
