Two title pages with printer's device, woodcut on verso of first title page, large and small decorated initials, including a large inhabited initial letter "D" on first numbered leaf signed in block "C.G.". Contemporary vellum, soiled, lightly warped, rebacked with original (?) spine, gilt label to head of spine, surface chips to covers and spine, track from biopredation on back cover; holograph inscriptions beneath imprint on title page, occasional underlines and pen notes in margins, few small holes from biopredation to first leaves and last leaves with minor loss to text, stain over passage on verso of first volume's page 82, two lines on verso of second volume's page 202 scored, pages cockled, dampstains, foxing, and soiling.
