Limited edition, number 122 of 550 copies signed by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Large quarto. Twelve striking full-page illustrations, numerous initials and miniatures, and several decorations throughout highlighted in gilt. Sumptuously bound in full green crushed morocco with elaborate gilt framing with floral cornerpieces to each cover, a beautiful central device of a peacock to the front cover with green, blue and yellow leather onlays, a sunrise device to the rear cover with blue and orange leather onlays, gilt titles and decorations to the spine with five raised bands, and double fillet gilt inner dentelles with floral cornerpieces. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Spine slightly sunned. Minor edge wear and rubbing to the corners. A near fine example of a gorgeous binding.
