Description

[Ross Macdonald]. Kenneth Millar. The Dark Tunnel. New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1944. First edition. Octavo (7.25 x 5 inches; 185 x 125 mm.). [viii], 241, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's red cloth, spine lettered in black, publisher's Red Badge seal stamped in black on front board; top and bottom edge trimmed, fore-edge rough-trimmed; in restored original dust jacket. Edges just a trifle worn; top corner of front board very softly bumped. Touch of soiling to text block edges and endpapers. Dust jacket very discreetly restored at edges, addressing a couple small chips or closed tears, folds almost invisibly reinforced. A nearly fine copy in a beautiful dust jacket with just a hint of restoration. Kenneth Millar's debut novel, before going on joining the ranks of the most talented crime writers while working under the pseudonym of Ross Macdonald. From the KoKo Collection.
