Ray Bradbury's Scarce First Appearance in Print, in the Privately-Printed Science Fiction Magazine, Imagination!

[Ray Bradbury, Robert Bloch, Hannes Bok, Henry Kuttner, Ray Harryhausen, Forest Ackerman, et al., contributors]. [Bruce Yerke, editor]. Imagination! Th Fanmag of th Future With a Future! Los Angeles: Organ of the L.A. Chapter, S.F.L., October, 1937-October, 1938. Complete in thirteen quarto volumes. Staple-bound mimeographed magazines, with original wrappers. Each issue sold for 10 cents, and there were roughly 100 copies of each issue produced. Some wear, a few covers detached, several issues with mailing stamps and recipients address in ink. Still, an excellent example of a very rare and fragile run of this fan-produced science fiction magazine, and the first magazine effort by Bradbury and Ackerman (followed in 1939 by Futuria Fantasia magazine, which they both edited and contributed material to) featuring the some of earliest work from some of the most influential science fiction figures of the twentieth century. This magazine features Bradbury's first appearance in print, the short story, Hollerbochen's Dilemma, in issue #4.
