[Photography]. Robert Frank. The Americans. Introduction by Jack Kerouac. New York: Grove Press, Inc., 1959. First American edition, hardcover issue. Oblong quarto. [4], vi, [1]-[172] pages. Publisher's black cloth, spine lettered in gilt; original illustrated dust jacket. A bit of light rubbing, thumbsoiling to binding. Some offsetting to endleaves. Text a bit toned. Jacket a bit toned with some minor thumbsoiling; verso and flaps somewhat foxed; lower corner of front flap a bit chipped. Still, a near fine copy. The Americans "changed the nature of photography, what it could say and how it could say it. [...] It remains perhaps the most influential photography book of the 20th century" (O'Hagan).

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
