    Quarto. [4],ii, [147], [1, blank] pages. With forty-two halftone prints and one in color inserted throughout. Original publisher's wrappers. Front wrapper detached (yet present), spine chipped, wrappers worn, front wrapper dampstained, some wear to text some occasional dampstaining in text (generally not affecting plates). A fair copy of this very rare and important French photography book. The prints reproduce various photographic printing techniques, including gum-print, platine, and ozotype gelatin, among others. One of the contributing photographers is Edouard Steichen.
