First edition. Octavo. 206 pages. Frontispiece. Publisher's dark brown cloth, boards decoratively blind-stamped, front lettered in gilt with gilt vignette; all text block edges trimmed. Loss to spine ends, with boards peeking through cloth at either end of joints; boards soiled, with evidence of damp at top, bottom, and fore-edges; light wear along board edges; corners bumped, with boards showing through cloth. Faint dampstaining also visible at endpapers; small card pocket affixed to rear pastedown. Further evidence of damp visible at corners and fore-edge of text block throughout; handful of faint splotches of foxing. Good.
