Boards and edges rubbed and worn, spine and upper quarter of rear board heavily sunned, head of spine torn, corners abraded. Repaired hinges cracking, light toning on text block, offsetting from plates, occasional thumbprints on outer margins. [and:] Philip Rickman. A Selection of Bird Paintings and Sketches. [London]: Curpotten Limited for Fine Sporting Interests, 1979. Number 305 of 500 limited edition copies, signed by the author. Folio. Publisher's half morocco over cloth, central gilt motif, all gilt edges, gilt decoration on spine. Marbled endpapers. Light sunning on spine. Otherwise, a near fine copy housed in slipcase.
