Profusely illustrated with 364 chromolithographic illustrations. Publisher's full mottled calf, front boards ruled in gilt with gilt central eagle motif, spines tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, brown gilt calf lettering labels. Marbled endleaves and edges. Spines sunned (volume I is more sunned than II or III), some wear to binding at joints and edges, signed leaf by von Heidenstam and the following title-page of volume I slightly scuffed. Still, a near fine set. The standard work on Scandinavian ornithology. Nissen 1026; Anker 544.
