Livy or Titus Livius (59 B.C.-- 17 A.D.) was a Roman historian who, under the auspices of the Emperor Augustus, wrote The Annals of the Roman People. When completed, the work totalled one hundred and forty-two books on the history of Rome from its foundations until the year 9 B.C. In his "Discourses," Machiavelli uses his own experience in Italian politics as well as Livy's account of the period of the seven kings and the first centuries of the Republic as a basis for his manual of political modus operandi. The book was was started before "The Prince," but completed after he had interrupted his work on it at a crucial period in Florentine history to issue "The Prince," which is a succinct and powerful statement of the ideas evolved in the "Discorsi." Machiavelli's utilitarianism gave him the reputation of being the devil's advocate in England even before his works had been translated Bertelli and Innocenti #35.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
