[Napoleon]. William Hazlitt. The Life of Napoleon Bonaparte. London and New York: The Society of Napoleonic Literature, 1902. Imperial Edition, one of ten numbered copies (this copy is designated with a star instead of a number). With a letter signed by Marie Julie Bonaparte (1771-1845, Queen Consort of Spain), the text of the letter in an unknown hand. [N.p., n.d.]. Approximately 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Creased. Letter is tipped-into volume I. Sixteen octavo volumes bound into thirty-one (first volume is not divided into two volumes as the others are). With sixteen hand-colored frontispieces and numerous facsimiles. Bound for the publisher in full turquoise crushed levant morocco, boards with gilt floral cornerpieces and gilt central motif of an "N" surrounded by laurels, spine tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, four raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, marbled endleaves, top edge gilt. Spines uniformly sunned, several joints worn but only a few appear to be starting, a few hinges starting, front hinge of volume I broken, some wear and minor occasional soiling to bindings. A good set.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
