    More Information:

[Music]. Ludwig van Beethoven. Quatuor pour Deux Violons, Alto, & Violoncelle d'aprés une sonate de l'oeuvre 31. Bonn: Simrock, [n.d.]. First edition. Four folio volumes. Approximately 12.25 x 9.5 inches. Title-page in first volume. Later publication information affixed to title-page, obscuring the Simrock imprint (it does have the correct plate number which corresponds to Simrock). Each part in string-bound modern plain wrappers with type-written legends on front wrapper, housed in simple folder. Ink ownership stamp on title-page, some thumbsoiling to leaves. Very good.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
