Description

    [Mickey Spillane]. Royal KHM Typewriter. [New York: Royal Typewriter Company, circa 1934 (or as late as 1938)]. Mickey Spillane's typewriter, the earliest model in his collection at his Murrell's Inlet home at the time of his death (Heritage also sold four other typewriters from his estate in sale #6174, including another Royal model, his portable Aristocrat manufactured circa 1939). Measures approximately 16 x 15 x 11 inches. Original black body and keys. Finish worn, with some rust; components partially rusted (particularly the line space lever and other parts of the carriage); a few sticky keys. Good. Potentially used while in high school, or at least shortly after. From the Estate of Mickey Spillane.
