    Two Medieval Manuscript Leaves from
Le Livre de Lancelot del Lac

[Medieval Manuscript Leaves]. [Arthurian Legend]. Two Leaves on Vellum from Le Livre de Lancelot del Lac. [N.p., n.d., ca. 1200's]. These two leaves of this vulgate romance comprise pages 164-171 of the version of Sommer's edition, volume V, part III (1912). Approximately 7.75 x 5.25 inches. Leaves toned and worn, with some small holes or worm damage, and marginal soiling and wear (the leaves had been used as endleaves for a 1494 edition of Leonardus de Utino's Sermones Quadrigesimales). Lower corner of one leaf chipped with some loss and some scuffing with loss. Leaves now housed in plastic sheets bound within a modern book. Modern full blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, blank leaves. With the bookplates and autograph note signed by noted Arthurian collector Nathan Comfort Starr - the note states the origin of the leaves and about their preservation inside the special book.
The leaves deal with Lancelot's adventures while wandering with a damsel, just before he participates in a great tournament for King Baudemagus, against knights from Arthur's court.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
