d'Aubusson's Defense of Queen Marie Therese's Rights to the Spanish Netherlands, in a Noble Binding

[Marie-Therese, Queen of France]. George d'Aubusson. Defense du Droit de Marie Therese d'Austriche Reine de France a la Succession des Couronnes d'Espagne. Paris: Sebastien Mabre-Cramoisy, 1699. Second edition. Twelvemo. [xxxii], 215, [1, blank] pages. Bound in contemporary full vellum over boards, boards with gilt central armorial stamp of the Dukes of Arenberg, spine with title in ink, Arenberg's armorial bookplate with shelf number and location in contemporary ink. Mild rubbing and thumbsoiling to binding, neat ink notations on front free endpaper. Still, a fine copy in a handsome noble binding. Housed in modern quarter green morocco clamshell case. This book, originally published in 1674, made an argument that Louis XIV's first wife, Marie Therese of Austria was the rightful ruler of the Spanish Netherlands and not the underage Charles II of Spain, thus, these territories belonged to France. France's claim to these territories eventually led to the War of Devolution (1667-1668). From a private collection from New Orleans.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
