Fully illustrated by Chagall with sixteen full-color lithographs and twelve illustrations in black and white as well as the cover and title-page. Illustrated paper over boards, dust jacket. Jacket separated at folds, chipped, and with a large portion of the front panel missing (with loss of text), front joint of binding cracked, spine chipped and loose, front hinge cracked, some rubbing and wear to binding. Interior still clean and bright. Good condition.

    "This work is dedicated to the integral reproduction in heliogravure of the 105 etchings made by Marc Chagall for the illustration of the Bible. The artist specially composed for the present work 16 lithographs in colors and 12 in black as well as the cover and title page. This book constitutes a double number (33-34) of VERVE in the French edition." Cramer 25.
