[Maps]. Guillaume de Lisle. L'Amerique Septentrionale.... Third issue.

    More Information:

[Maps]. Guillaume de Lisle. L'Amerique Septentrionale. Third issue, with the Quai de l'Horloge address. Approximately 19.5 x 26.5 inches. Hand-colored. Some toning to map, some mild wear or creases to margins, one crease down the center of the map. Overall, near fine. This map is important for three reasons: it is the first map to show, once again, California as a peninsula connected to the continent instead of an island; the Great Lakes are well-defined for the first time; the mouth of the Mississippi is correctly shown in Louisiana instead of in Texas.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
