    [Manuscripts]. Group of Five 17th-18th Century Legal Manuscripts, Framed. Including: Bill of Sale for Land, Manuscript in English. Dated 14, March, 1663. Framed in a modern-antique gilt plastic. Framed to an overall size of 11 x 13 inches. With red wax seal. Between William Dantly(?) and Tobia Arundell(?). [and:] Two Documents in One. Legal manuscripts in English appointing lawyers for Henry, Duke of Kent (dated 1720) and Robert Dormer (dated 1725). Framed to an overall size of 9 x 25 inches. Wax seal for Dormer, both manuscripts with stamps "Honi-Soit-Qui-Mal Y-Pense," the seal of the Order of the Garter translating to "Shamed be him that thinks evil of it." [and:] Last Will and Testament of John Mihell, the Elder, (of Cranley), 1778. Framed to an overall size of 22 x 18 inches. English on paper, with red wax seal. Signed by witnesses Sarah Inwood, John Luxford, and William Martin, Jr. [and:] Indenture of Release, legal document on paper, with red wax seal (head figure). William Booker (of Horsley) in debt to James Thwaits (of Compton), in sum of five hundred and sixty pounds, March 19th, 1772. Framed to an overall size of 20 x 16 inches. Witnessed by George Moddy Longcroft. [and:] Last Will and Testament of Thomas Grafford (of Portsmouth, New Hampshire), dated 1700. Framed to an overall size of 21 x 52 inches. With red wax seal. On paper and matted, a few minor holes, repaired and with no loss.
