A Rare Poetry Book with Photographs by Man Ray, Inscribed by Him to his Assistant - With a Photographic Portrait of Man Ray

[Man Ray, photographer]. Paul Eluard. Facile. Paris: Editions G L M, 1935. First edition, one of 1,220 copies (copy number 765). Inscribed by Man Ray to his longtime assistant on page [3]: "à Lucien Trillard [his name is misspelled - it should be "Treillard"]/remerciments/Man Ray". Small quarto. Unpaginated. Illustrated with twelve (one double-page) heliogravure photographs of Eluard's wife, Nusch (posing nude). Original printed wrappers. Some minor rubbing, else fine. [Together With]: [Man Ray, subject]. [Pierre Gassmann, printer]. Photographic Portrait of Man Ray. [Paris: n.d., though most likely ca. 1970s to 1980s]. Approximately 9.75 x 7 inches. Stamped on verso: "Man Ray/Paris" and "Tirage Original/Réalisé par/Pierre Gassmann". This is likely a later print of a photo of Man Ray from the 1930's.
