[Koran]. The Alcoran of Mahomet. Translated out of Arabique into French; by the Sieur Du Ryer, Lord of Malezair, and Resident for the King of France, at Alexandria. And newly Englished, for the satisfaction of all that desire to look into the Turkish vanities. London: [n.p., 1649].

Second English edition, published the same year as the first. Octavo. [i-xiv], 407 pages, [i-xiv], blank, [xii] table.

Leather over boards with leather spine label with gilt titles. Tooled covers well worn with rubbing and loss to corners and top of spine. Front joint broken with rear beginning. Diagonal tear of binding across lower tail of spine. Title page has loss across top, removing "Alcoran." Toning to first and last leaves as well as to edges.
