Two Sheets of Original Typescript by John Updike of a Poem by Yevgeny Yevtushenko

[John Updike, translator]. Yevgeny Yevtushenko. The Restaurant for Two. [N.p.: Life Magazine, 1967]. Two long galley sheets, typewritten with subtle differences by Updike, each typed in red and black, along with a number of galley proofs on folded folio sheets. Typescripts approximately 23 x 8.5 inches (one of these sheets has an additional half-sheet affixed at bottom). On yellow and cream paper. This poem was reprinted in Poets on Street Corners: Portraits of Fifteen Russian Poets. The enclosed galley proofs are for the poem as it appeared in the February 17, 1967 issue of Life Magazine. Each typewritten galley sheets with various printer's and publisher's notes and markings in ink and pencil. The usual expected wear. Still, a very good collection, showcasing not only Yevtushenko's skill as a poet, but also Updike's talent for translation. From the collection of Alexander J. Jemal, Jr.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
