First edition in English. Octavo. [xvi], [424] pages. Bound in contemporary mottled calf, boards double-ruled in gilt. Rebacked to style in modern calf, two burgundy gilt morocco lettering labels. Some wear to boards (especially at corners), text toned, with some dampstaining throughout, three spots of sticker remnants on rear pastedown, a few scattered pencil or ink notations or library markings. The Yale University Library copy, with their bookplate on the front pastedown. A good copy. From the Collection of Ellis MacGregor Pryce-Jones.
