Scrap book (approximately 8 x 10 inches), with sixty pages of affixed color and black and white illustrations, some full page, several cut-outs, and many with text clippings. Illustrations include "Windy Weather" etched by James Gillray and dated 1808, an engraving of  "Joshua Reynolds" dated 1817, "An Election Ball" scene by G. Cruik dated 1819, engraving of a boy at the dinner table signed in plate by W.J. Linton and J.W. Archer, numerous illustrations of animals with human heads, palaces, sights in Bruxelles and Rotterdam, and much more.

Half leather over green patterned cloth boards, "Scrap/ Book" and gilt devices on spine. Binding rubbed, chipped and soiled, joints worn, spine with vertical cracks and dulled gilt. Textblock cockled. Holograph ink gift inscription on front free endpaper dated "1851". Some of the illustrations have come loose, leaving pages with dried glue residue. Pages and images with edge wear, few small edge tears, minor foxing and soiling. Very good scrap book with entertaining images from the nineteenth-century.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
