    More Information:

[Jacqueline Kennedy]. The White House. An Historic Guide. Washington, D. C.: White House Historical Association, 1962. Second edition. Inscribed by Jacqueline Kennedy on the title-page: "To - Vangie Bruce/With best wishes/Jacqueline Kennedy". Octavo. [132] pages. Illustrated. Presentation binding of green levant morocco, boards double-ruled in gilt, spine lettered in gilt. Marbled endleaves. Original wrappers bound-in. Some wear to spine; joints quite worn (yet still solid), some wear and mild soiling to boards and edges. Overall, a very good copy. Housed in folding case and quarter morocco slipcase. Evangeline ("Vangie") Bruce was the wife of David Bruce, appointed by President Kennedy to be the United States ambassador to Great Britain. This book features John F. Kennedy and the president, and Jacqueline Kennedy signed as "Jacqueline Kennedy," and not Onasis, and so it is very possible that it was inscribed during the Kennedy administration. From the James C. Seacrest Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
