Boston: Printed by B. Green for Nathaniel Belknap, 1724. First edition. Sixteenmo. [ii],x-xiv, [244], [1, Advertisement (actually errata)], [1, blank] pages. With portrait frontispiece of Increase Mather inserted at front. Contemporary full calf, boards double-ruled in gilt. Rebacked with later brown morocco spine, lettered in gilt. Binding worn and soiled, frontispiece portrait loose, text toned and soiled, with some smudging of the text throughout (probably from the printing process). Contemporary ownership signature on page [i], evidence of bookplate removal from both pastedowns. Still, a good copy of this rare and fragile item. Howes M393. Evans 2257.
