    [Illuminated Manuscript]. Large Illuminated Manuscript Antiphonal Leaf. Alpha and Omega. God and the Seven Hills of Rome. Circa Fifteenth - Sixteenth Century. Double sided vellum leaf. Approximately 16 x 22.5 inches. Recto: Large illuminated letter "O" with Alpha and Omega miniature, approximately 6.5 x 7 inches, in blue, green, orange, purple and red. Lord on throne in front of wall, with alpha and omega in book on lap. Miniature of God at lower center, with Seven Hills of Rome below, approximately 3 x 3 inches, in green, blue, red and white. Floral borders in blue, orange, green, purple and red, various vines, flowers and small birds, all burnished in gold. First two lines illuminated, four lines and four staves. Verso: Small illuminated letter "O", approximately 1.5 x 2 inches, in blue, red, green, and gilt. Four lines, four staves. Edge wear and creases, notes and words lightly faded and chipped, paint cracking along lower right corner of the floral borders, small edge tears with tape repairs on verso, some darkening around borders, rippling and minor soiling; else in very good condition. Matted and framed.
