    [Hugh Thomson, illustrator]. Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice. London: George Allen, 1894. First edition thus, the deluxe Large Paper issue on handmade paper, one of 275 copies. Large octavo (10.25 x 6.75 inches; 260 x 171 mm.). [xxviii], [1]-476, [1, colophon], [1, blank] pages. Profusely illustrated on labels of thin China paper, mounted throughout in the text. Publisher's full brick-red cloth, spine lettered in gilt, top edge trimmed, all others uncut. Binding sunned at spine and boards, binding rubbed and soiled, endleaves toned and offset, text a bit toned with occasional foxing or thumbsoiling, a few gutters overopened. Still, very good. Gilson E78.
