    Original Artwork for the Cover of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

    [Harry Potter]. Cliff Wright (British, born 1963). Original Ink and Watercolor Cover Art for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Bloomsbury, 1998). The drawing depicts an early scene in the book, in which Ron Weasley rescues Harry from Number 4 Privet Drive in his father's flying car to take him back to Hogwarts. Drawing is unsigned, but includes Wright's manuscript notes in the upper margin. Illustration is glazed, mounted and framed to an overall size of 22.5 x 19 inches. Marginal annotations read: "please return A/W [artwork] to: / (undamaged)" and "for: Harry Potter shop display / to: Rosamund Walker - Bloomsbury." The illustration is in fine condition.
