    [H. G. Wells, association]. Collection of Nearly Ninety Letters and Additional Related Documents to Wells' Contractual Dealings with American Publishers. [Various places, various dates]. No letters are signed by Wells himself, but many are signed by Marjorie Wells, his daughter-in-law and business manager (she became his manager upon the death of his wife). On various sized-pages. Most letters creased, a few are damaged, but, overall, the condition is very good or better. Some of the American publishers contained in this are The Modern Library, Albert & Charles Boni, Random House, Charles Scribner's Sons - most heavily represented is Dodd Mead and Co. Wells's titles discussed in these letters include various editions of The History of Mr. Polly, The Island of Dr. Moreau, Tono Bungay, Seven Famous Novels, etc.
