This being copy number 244 signed by Loates and Duval. Folio. 17.5 x 12.25 inches; 444 x 311 mm. 300, [1, colophon], [1, blank] pages. Profusely illustrated with color and black-and-white illustrations, some fold-out. Publisher's full brown calf. Front board and spine stamped in gilt, five raised bands on spine. Signed lithograph is housed in publisher's full cream buckram portfolio, stamped in blind and gilt on the front panel. Lithograph is entitled, "Bison" 1976. Book and portfolio are housed in publisher's matching cream buckram slipcase, one panel stamped in gilt and blind. Some minor occasional rubbing, lower corners bumped. Fine. A magnificent exhibition of artwork by one of Canada's best natural history artists.
