Frontispiece and twenty-four additional plates by Karl Anderson and George Brehm. Publisher's red cloth, spine and front lettered in white with decorative blind-stamping; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Spine ends gently pushed; minor shelf wear and dust-soiling at extremities. Envelope containing Typed Letter Signed affixed to front pastedown. Text block softly dulled with age; top edge dust-soiled. Large chip out of foot of jacket spine panel, with smaller chips at head of spine panel and ends of rear flap fold; a few tears extending down from top edge, the longest just over an inch; front flap detached along fold; jacket generally rubbed and dulled, with a faint stamp at rear panel. Near fine book in a good jacket. Typed Letter Signed written to A. L. Marshall of Bobbs-Merrill Company in response to what seems to have been fan mail. Queen's Quorum 50.
