    [Garth Williams, illustrator]. Original Watercolor Study for the Front Cover of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little Town on the Prairie. [N.p.: Harper & Brothers, n.d., ca. 1970's]. Watercolor study done by Williams for the cover of a later edition (possibly the book club edition) of this book. Signed by Williams in the lower right corner. On thick paper. Approximately 14.5 x 19 inches. Edges with brown paper tape, minor thumbsoiling, else fine. [With:] Original Ink Layout for the Front Cover of the Same Title. In black ink on layout board with layout markings. Initialed by Williams at the bottom right. Two acetate sheets of shading and one tissue sheet of cover and spine text taped onto the ink layout. Approximately 20 x 15 inches. Some wear to edges, some tears to tissue sheet. Very good.
