With two double fore-edge paintings, Volume I depicting views of Philadelphia and Boston from the east, and Volume II featuring Richmond, Virginia and New York from the Weehawkin. Two octavo volumes. xvi, 375, [1, blank] pages; xii, 406 pages. Contemporary diced leather, board ruled in gilt, gilt titles on spines, all edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Spines sunned and slightly cocked, minor cracks from rubbing, spine ends lightly worn; front boards a bit scuffed, joints rubbed, lower corners a bit bumped. Faint water spots on lower edges of text block, hinges a bit over-opened. Very good.
