Modern calf backed cloth boards, spine banded, title gilt, endpapers renewed, B1 cut at head to remove old owner's name (no text affected), Xx4 margin torn off with no text loss, inner margins of Xx4-Yy3 supported, some dampstains, minor inner margin worming. Large printer's device on part title, head-pieces, decorated initials. Second, enlarged edition in English. This is a rare edition in English of the medical works of Valentinus. The Examination Of A Chyrugion which begins with a new t.p. on L1 is by Stephen Hobbes, fl 1596-1610, (Harvard calls him Samuel Hunton) and it with other treatises occupies the majority of the book.
