    More Information:

Philo of Alexandria (ca. 25 B.C.-ca. 50 A.D.), a hellenized Jew, was known for his two embassies to the imperial court at Rome as well as his love for Platonic philosophy.  His own thoughts are the fusion between a high ethical monotheism and the transcendentalist theology of Platonism, and they laid the groundwork for the Christian philosophy which was to follow. His mystical platonism was to influence Christian neo-platonism. Gelenius (ca.1498-1554), a native of Prague, was a specialist in Greek, working for the Froben Press (Basel) as scholar, editor, corrector, and translator from the Greek.  He is closely associated with both Erasmus and Melancthon, even dedicating his edition of Aristophanes to the latter, and is noted for his editions of Josephus, Appian, Velleius Paterculus, etc. as well as his edition of Philo which is offered here. There is also evidence that he also collaborated on several editions of Erasmus. This volume also contains Aeneas von Gaza's 'De Immortaltate animarum' in a Latin translation by Johannes Wolf and Athenagoras' 'De Mortuorum resurrectionme' translated by Pieter Nannick.          VD 16 P2462 & VD16 A352 & VD 16 A4009. Adams P1030. Hoffmann III, 70.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
