[Featured Lot]. [Original Art]. Meticulously Hand-Drawn and Lettered Illustrated Folk Art Humor Magazine, Entitled F. A. T. Nos. 1-6. February-March, 1884. A total of six weekly issues, at twelve pages each, bound in quarter leather over pebbled cloth boards. Twelvemo. Handwritten in ink throughout, with numerous hand-colored drawings and sketches. Endearing and at times provocative hand-made humor periodical evidently done for the author's personal enjoyment and painstakingly executed. Featuring stories, rhymes, riddles, etc., with a mixture of cartoonish, bawdy drawings and surprisingly lush and detailed natural history illustrations. The artist was originally identified as Charles F. Leland through a small slip of paper found in the book (no longer present). Some rubbing, soiling and edgewear to extremities. Some minor toning, creasing and chipping to pages. With bookplate of Harold Cummins. Very good. From the collection of Zita Books.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
