First Edition of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Third Musical Written While at Princeton - With a Lengthy Inscription by One of His Collaborators

[F. Scott Fitzgerald, contributor]. Safety First. A Musical Comedy in Two Acts. Presented by The Princeton University Triangle Club 1916-1917. Book by J. F. Bohmfalk, '17, Biggs, Jr., '18. Lyrics by F. Scott Fitzgerald, '17. Music by P. B. Dickey, '17, Warburton Guilbert, '19, E. [actually W. I.] Harris, '20. Cincinnati: Princeton University Triangle Club, 1916. First edition, first printing. With a full-page autograph letter signed by contributor W. I. Harris on the blank verso of the Cast List page. Excerpt: "I remember Scott as exceedingly unassuming and modest, and as a member of the Triangle Club a real enthusiast. As far as I know everyone liked him and no one would have thought of competing with his skill as a lyricist. The work was all his - as you will see, it speaks for itself." Inscription is signed by Harris and dated September 11, 1975. Harris also hand-corrected his misprinted first initial on the Cast List page. Quarto. 99 pages. Publisher's original cloth-backed full-color printed flexible boards. Boards scuffed and creased, text leaves also creased. Overall, a very good copy with an excellent inscription and association. Housed in cloth chemise and quarter brown morocco slipcase.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
