[Elbert Hubbard and The Roycrofters]. A Collection of Fifty-Two Assorted Titles in Various Bindings. East Aurora: The Roycrofters, [various dates].

An excellent collection of material, in various sizes and various bindings, including their famous limp suede binding with yapp edges. Titles include: Little Journey to the Homes of Famous Women, Elbert Hubbard's Scrap-Book, Hamlet, Dreams, Life Lessons, Nature, The Golden River, Gray's Elegy, etc. Authors include: Elbert Hubbard, William Shakespeare, Ralph Waldo Emerson, John Ruskin, and Robert Louis Stevenson. Although there is the usual rubbing and mild wear, the condition is better than usually seen for this material, especially the famously fragile limp suede bindings. An excellent collection.

Founded by Elbert Hubbard (1856-1915) in 1895, the Roycrofters artists colony was an important and influential group of people in the American Arts and Crafts movement. Their press was one of the finest American fine presses, based partly on William Morris' work at Kelmscott Press.
