From the April 2, 1881 issue of The Five Cent Wide Awake Library (Vol. 1, no. 403). Quarto (approximately 11.25 x 8.25 inches; 287 x 209 mm.) 14, [2, ads] pages. Wrappers reckoned within pagination. Wrappers chipped at margins, some occasional tears, front wrapper loose, text toned and somewhat stained. Still, very good. A Queen's Quorum title.

    [Together with:] Old Sleuth, the Detective; Or, the Bay Ridge Mystery. By Old Sleuth. From the March 3, 1885 issue of Old Sleuth Library (Vol. 1, No. 1). Quarto (approximately 12.5 x 8.75 inches; 319 x 218 mm.) 46, [2, ads] pages. Wrappers reckoned within pagination. Wrappers loose, chipped with several tears. Text creased at upper corner. Wrappers and text toned, with occasional thumbsoiling (mainly to wrappers). Still, a very good example of a fragile item. Both issues are chemised together in a quarter blue morocco slipcase, with the bookplate of Florence and Edward Kaye on one of the inner flaps of the chemise. A Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone title.
