[Cyril Hare]. [When the Wind Blows]. [London: n.d., ca. 1949]. Original Holograph Manuscript. Written in black or blue ink by Hare, with the author's autograph corrections. On quarto-sized white or blue typing paper (approximately 11 x 8.5 inches; 280 x 215 mm). 418 leaves, most of which are bound by clips in the upper left corner (eleven groups of manuscript leaves are bound thus, in addition to many loose leaves). Without a title-leaf (it is unclear if there was ever a title-leaf with this collection). Text of novel on rectos; on versos of the leaves are various other hand-written articles or stories by Hare, and some occasional typed letters addressed to him (apparently, this novel was written on previously-used paper). Leaves are toned, with occasional creasing, foxing, marginal chipping, and thumbsoiling, clips are rusted. Good. Chemised in slipcase.

This is the third novel to feature the amateur sleuth, Francis Pettigrew.
