    A Handsome Copy of Knight's
    Pomona Herefordiensis, with
    Thirty Beautiful Hand-Colored Plates

[Color-Plate Books]. Thomas Andrew Knight. Pomona Herefordiensis; Containing Coloured Engravings of the Old Cider and Perry Fruits of Herefordshire. London: Printed for the Agricultural Society of Herefordshire, 1811. First edition. Quarto. Approximately 11.75 x 9 inches. [2], viii, [60] pages. Complete with thirty beautifully hand-colored aquatint plates of apples and related fruits inserted throughout. Contemporary full brown diced Russia, boards decoratively ruled in gilt, spine decoratively ruled and lettered in gilt and dark brown, blind turn-ins. Binding worn and soiled, with joints starting, some occasional foxing or thumbsoiling in text (especially on the first few leaves), previous owner's ink signature on title-page. Bound without the Index leaf, as is usually the case. The plates are clean and crisp, with excellent, vibrant color. Overall, a very good copy with lovely plates.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
