Lindbergh / Mar 10, 1929" on the verso of the front free endpaper. (3.5 x 2.5 inches; 90 x 66 mm.). A small souvenir from the Director General of the Mexican Post Office commemorating the inauguration of air mail service between Mexico and Matamoros, Texas, March 9, 1929. Brown leather with titles in gilt. French silk endpapers. 10 leaves containing 16 mounted uncancelled Mexican stamps (one unmounted). Near fine. Sold in a beautiful custom quarter-leather over marbled boards clamshell case.
