    First editions. Octavos. Both in original paper boards and housed together in custom clamshell box, with gilt title label on spine. Clamshell box lightly rubbed and edgeworn, with small tear to cloth at spine tail. Elia with front and rear covers detached, but present. Last Essays with covers nearly detached. Extremities gently rubbed, bumped, soiled and edgeworn. Owner's ink and pencil inscriptions. Light foxing scattered throughout. Good or better. From the Estate of Rod McKuen.
