Maclise used as frontispiece.  Beautiful crimson leather binding (binder unknown) with a single-rule border stamped in gilt on the boards and titles and horse-related vignettes stamped in six compartments between five raised bands on the spine. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Trivial wear, else fine.
