    Two quarto volumes. iv, 496, [4, index], [errata]; iv, 604, [8, index], [errata] pages. With twenty-nine hand-colored plates and thirty-one maps and plans, some folding.

    Contemporary quarter leather over marbled boards. Titles stamped in gilt on morocco spine labels. Board worn at the edges. Joints cracked or starting and hinges cracked, but boards remain securely attached. Spines with crude repairs. Contents with light scattered foxing, contemporary bookplate mounted to front endpapers of each volume. A worn copy, but internally very good.

    Wonderful hand-colored plates featuring excellent depictions of uniforms of various British regiments. The text provides contemporary accounts of many of the European conflicts of the latter eighteenth century.
