With color frontispiece and fifteen full color plates inserted throughout, and engraved title-page, contents page and twenty two black and white illustrations, all reckoned within pagination. Publisher's half red morocco over marbled boards, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, pictorial endleaves. Some rubbing to board edges and spine, mild bumping to corners, some foxing to endleaves, occasional foxing in text. Bookplate of Thomas Perry on the front pastedown. Housed in the original red cloth slipcase with marbled-paper sides (some wear, chipping to marbled paper. Near fine.
