[Arthur Rackham] J. M. Barrie. Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens. London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1906. Limited "de-luxe" edition of 500 copies, of which this is number 352, signed and numbered by Arthur Rackham on the limitation page. Quarto (279.4 x 235 mm). xii, 125 pages. Illustrated by Arthur Rackham with fifty color plates mounted to thick brown paper (each plate approximately 7 x 4 inches) with captioned tissue guards. "Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, as he [Rackham] recreated it, and as it appeared from Hodder and Stoughton with fifty full-page illustrations in colour mounted on thick paper according to the taste of the time, became the outstanding Christmas gift book of 1906 - and maintained its hold for many later Christmases."

    Hudson page 61, 168; Latimore & Haskell, page 27.
