    Limited English edition of 250 copies signed by Arthur Rackham, the illustrator, on a special limitation page bound in front. Quarto. 102, [1] pages. With eight mounted color plates, including frontispiece and thirty black and white illustrations in text.

    Original full vellum with titles stamped in gilt on the front board and spine. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Pictorial endpapers in half-tone and yellow. Boards soiled with front board warped (as usual). Light scattered foxing to page edges, most noticeably the preliminary and terminal pages. Slight cockling to the edges of the front and back pastedowns, else a very good copy of this scarce edition.

    A further 125 signed copies were produced for the American market making the total of 375 copies, one of the smallest limitations of any Rackham edition.
