Quarto (10.625 x 8.75 inches; 270 x 222 mm.). xii, 125 [126] pages; frontispiece and forty-nine additional color plates mounted to brown paper and inserted throughout, with descriptive tissue guards. Publisher's vellum, spine lettered in gilt, front board lettered and decoratively stamped in gilt; silk ties; top edge gilt, others untrimmed; Kensington Gardens map on the front free endpaper. Boards splayed; covers very lightly soiled with some very faint spotting and discoloration (particularly at the spine ends and turn ins); small, clean interior tear to the backstrip between the title and the crown. Silk ties crimped and lightly worn with some insignificant fraying. Page edges lightly foxed. Near fine. From a Private Collection in St. Charles, IL.
